Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only
as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you,
both to will and to work for his good pleasure. – Philippians 2:12–13

THE BIBLICAL TERM “SALVATION” IS THE ENTIRE RESCUE PLAN FOR HUMANITY FROM SIN.

THE BIBLICAL SCOPE OF SALVATION INVOLVES:

• JUSTIFICATION – “WE HAVE BEEN SAVED”
  
• SANCTIFICATION – “WE ARE BEING SAVED”
  
  Sanctification is the process of what Jesus did FOR us on the cross
  being worked IN us to transform us into His likeness.
  
• GLORIFICATION – “WE WILL BE SAVED”
  
  Justification – separation from the penalty of sin.
  Sanctification – separation from the power of sin.
  Glorification – separation from the presence of sin.
