Philippians 4:6-7
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
What Is Peace?
The sense of divine favor arising from confidence in God and your relationship with Him.
How Do I Experience God’s Peace?
1. You Have To Know God Personally
Philippians 4:11-13
11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
2. Live In Constant Fellowship With God
Philippians 4:6
…but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
3. Be Completely Honest With God
1 Peter 5:7
“Cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you.”
4. Be Intentional About Thanking God, Especially in Stressful Situations
Stress and genuine thankfulness cannot abide in the same heart.”
-Clyde Cranford
