Jesus + Nothing vs. Jesus + Something

Galatians 3:1-14

1. Did you receive the Holy Spirit by works or hearing with faith?
   -Our hearts are moved when we see not just that Jesus died, but that He died for us!
   
   Feelings vs. Truth
   
   Experience vs. Scripture.
   
2. Did you begin in the Spirit and then turn back to works?
   
3. What does it look like to live/walk in the Spirit?

Salvation means much more than forgiveness.  We do not simply have our slates wiped clean; we also become perfect in God’s sight.  And we stay perfect in God’s sight, because of Christ’s death on the Cross.  We don’t begin by the gift of Grace only to fall back into human effort – as if we can earn God’s favor and blessing – We go on and grow as we began, having our hearts melted and molded by knowing and trusting Christ crucified.  We never move on from the gospel.  We never can and never need to.
