War Plan for Taking Ground

• SWORD OF THE SPIRIT (Word of God)  17b

^“17 and take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God…”

2 Timothy 2:15 “Rightly handle the Word of Truth.” “Prepared in season and out of season.”

Matthew 4:1-11 – Jesus’ temptation

Word of God… who God is, who I am, what God has for me, why am here, God’s promises, why I need Jesus, how to be saved, how I should live, how I should love, what is God’s plan for me… I know what is a lie and what is true! 

He gives us the HOW:  How are we strong, what undergirds all of this armor?

PRAYER

Supplication:  the action of asking or begging God for something earnestly and humbly

If we want to take ground…. If we want to move the ball forward, not just take shots from the enemy but take it to the enemy, we have to be bold with the gospel!
