Sermon Notes

Genesis 1:26-31

Adam: Creation Mandate

– Be fruitful

– Plan progression

We are created in the image of God to “do something” and “accomplish something”

Proverbs 13:4: “The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.”

Proverbs 21:5: “The plans of the diligent lead to profit…”

Paul in Galatians 6: “While we have an opportunity to do good…”

Ephesians 5: “redeem the time” – make something of your life

Life is most enjoyed when it is in process and going somewhere!

Human beings that are not working/progressing usually end up frustrated and depressed.

The happiest times in our lives are the times when we are growing and progressing.

Resolutions are biblical because they allow us to get back on track to how God created us to live.

Christian life is progressive and is meant to develop and grow (sanctification).

Formula for Getting My Act Together in 2022:

– Vision

– Initiative

– Progress

– Goal

Two Questions To Ask Yourself This Week:

1. If you continue in the way that things are, where will you be at the end of 2022?

2. Why Am I Here, Where Am I Going?

God is at Work from Alpha to Omega (Accomplishing)

Jesus moved toward completion (Progressed)

Paul pressed on toward the goal (Growing)

Are You Growing, Accomplishing, Progressing, Developing Anything of Value?
